I tried HDMI and displayport with the old monitor disconnected - but basically get the same result: display port doesn't work at all, and HDMI wont go above 1920*1080. ![]() I am able to switch from using one display to the other. When I try to extend or duplicate the display on both it says unable to save these display settings. I also can't display on both my old display (via DVI) and the new one at the same time. I also tried display port, but the computer doesn't even recognize the monitor is plugged in. But again, I can't seem to change the resolution above 1920*1080. From reading online ATI cards don't support that resolution via dual link DVI. I used dual link DVI to connect it, but couldn't get it above 1920*1080. I have a Radeon 6900 of some sort, and I upgraded one of my monitors to an Asus PB278Q which is 2560*1440.
