![]() Moreover I'm controlling a large Pipe organ through the parallel port with an real time hardware system I designed, without extra microprocessor. I don't understand why Microsoft killed the Parallel Port, and curiously even now one can always purchase motherboards with parallel port on the market ? (AsRock, Gigabyte for example)Strange ? Why Microsoft don't help customers to unlock this port ? Of course I tried TEENSY solution with the USB port, running fine, but the computing power of the Teensy, and the bandwidth of the USB link is not comparable to the 8 bits Parallel Port speed coupled with the incredible even low cost PC computing power. I dislike solutions such as USB FTDI chips, because USB programming is a mess compared with the straightforward simplicity of the parallel port. I'm an old hardware and software programmer, and if I really mandatory need the parallel port, it's why I REALLY NEED THIS PORT.
